Whizz Bang... Ooooh Aaaahhh 2011

Final planning is still being completed, but Kilham Playing Field is proud to be hosting it's 2nd bonfire & firework spectacular on Friday 4 November 2011.

Last year's event was a huge success & this year should be even better. There will be a fantastic bar with a range of beverages available, hot food & many, many whizzing, flashing, banging, exploding "things" to feast your eyes upon.

More details will be posted here soon, but in the meantime:

Gates open: 5:30pm
Bonfire lit: 6:30pm
Fireworks start: 7pm(ish)

Just £2 for adults & £1 for kids.

This will be a truly brilliant event, so will hopefully see you there to join in the fun...

Finally, please don't bring any sparklers - the Health & Safety bods won't let us have any :-(

Yes, it's back. For the third year in a row. Kilham Playing Field Association are proud to announce that the 3rd annual bike ride returns on Sunday 18 September 2011.

With a choice of distances to challenge you & your friends, ranging from 3 miles up to a daunting (for some) 30 miles, there is something for everyone. All you need is a bike (obviously), a helmet & a willingness to spend some of your Sunday to help raise funds for Kilham Playing Field.

No need to collect any sponsorship, is just a fixed entry free which includes a burger back at The Star pub in Kilham. Is also a great raffle being held once the 3 mile route has finished (around 3:30pm).

With the help of over a dozen people from around Kilham, the next phase of the tennis court construction has been completed.

As blogged previously, the outer posts had been put into place & now the fencing has been added. Will be a while yet before the first tennis balls are being knocked back & forth on one of the THREE Kilham Tennis Courts which will be placed inside the fencing, but will keep you informed of progress & opening dates via this blog & our website kilhamplayingfield.org
